So in talking to kids about Jesus washing feet, what is the point?  He counted others more important than Himself.  They raised the point: aren't we equal to each other?  Good question!  We are told that "All men are created equal".  But Paul said to the Philippians that we should "do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit but in humility consider others better than ourselves".  Better doesn't sound like equal.  The point is that we need to have Jesus' heart of servanthood, ready to humble ourselves to assist anyone.  That is always challenging.

Daniel's message for today
On Sunday evenings we have been having lots of PHUN (Practical helps for unmet needs).  We are doing lego projects and movie making and skits with shadow puppets.  But the lessons have been around Daniel.  Many of you probably think immediately of Daniel and the Lion's den or may be Shadrack, Meshack and Abednego.  There are lots of narrative dramas.  But what do they teach children?  Well our curriculum is emphasizing making Godly everyday choices.  There are good consequences and of course their are the bad.  Daniel shows us God rewarding his good choices.  That is an awesome thing, a great story.  An inspiration!  Daniel further shows that personal prayer and group prayer has great benefits.  Let us be showing and telling the good news from Daniel.
